Turned out to be the switch and the magneto, all is good, now the carby. I had to change the fuel line ' put fuel in it and it just went everywhere, defuelled it, left it for a bit to dry out, then pulled the float bowl off and the float was jammed with rust as was the bottom of the bowl, cleaned it all out and freed up the float and reassembled it. Pulled all the needle and screw valves out and seem to be ok. The high speed needle & idle needle valves I have screwed all the way in and the out one and a quarter turns, but what about the one in the bottom of the fuel bowl, do I do it the same as a starting point and adjust it later and what does it do ? The vertical screw at the bottom of the float bowl is the main mixture adjustment, and should be open one and a half turns from fully screwed in, as a starting point just so it will run and you can adjust it accurately. The screw on the top of the carburetor with the spring under its head is the idle mixture adjustment, which you also open one and a half turns. The screw next to the idle mixture adjustment is the main jet, and it should be fully screwed in or it will leak. See diagram:
