G'day all,

Not really a DMC DeLorean Mower but it does have a stainless steel body (base) The Granberg Parksman.

After seeing this years ago on ODK , I thought that's not a bad idea https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=29770

Today I acquired this stainless steel mower and have taken it for a spin in the wet and I guess it would be
great for cutting grass in the snow as well.

The 21 inch Granberg Parksman has the same shaped base etc as the Stihl Viking mower but the Viking isn't made in
stainless steel.

The side discharge cover and cover hinge are also made from stainless steel , you kind of get tired of seeing
broken plastic side covers and rusted falling apart steel side covers

Cheers
Max..

Hi Max
After the 'Harley mower' I was expecting much less.
A shrewd use of the headline to gain interest.was a brilliant move grin
You need to work for Hobart's Mercury!

Brilliant. I don't think I have seen a mower cut and bag snow before.

I guess cutting every second row you'd get stripes.

Thanks for the video!

One thing i will add about the Gransberg is the extremely rugged and indestructible wheels they have fitted.

G'day Jack and bigted

It does look a little strange Jack cutting and bagging snow, at least he wasn't using a corded electric
mower in the snow, I've seen American news reports warning people not to blow snow off the roof with
electric corded leaf blowers.

The wheels do look remarkably strong bigted.

I tried using the wash port on the base but it reminded me of the old saying,it was as useless as tits on a bull.

One good thing with cleaning this mower is you can wash the base inside and out with the hose and just
let the mower air dry.

Cheers
Max.

I agree with you max - the I have only ever used the washport once on a Masport - just to see how it went. Did absolutely nothing and made everything rattle and feel odd as you are unevenly loading the motor.

On rideons its at least half useful as its harder to get under there

I much prefer a wire brush, paint scraper and wd40 afterwards personally

I have coveted wash ports on my push mower decks. I finally got one with the Greenfield. I used it as per its booklet and it does do a decent job.

That video is interesting Tyler ,in that the water did not work until the deck was closer to the ground.

The problem with this Granberg mower when using the wash port is the blades are flat so when you add water
no grass is dislodged from the base but if you had fluted blades some grass would be dislodged
from the base.

Before and after pics from YouTube using a wash port with mulcher blade.

Cheers
Max.

Ah, fair point about the flat blades max. That did not cross my mind.
