Thanks for telling us NormK. It doesn't happen often in my experience, but once it starts (excuse pun), it keeps chewing aluminium filings away. I think there was some mention on ODK a while back of a solution being to apply lubricant to the mechanism that sprouts the starter pawls??
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
