One time back in 88, I saw one such looking family using one with a faulty muffler with the engine surging well past the normal rev level!! It was as loud as an air raid siren. I was walking to the railway station which was another ten minutes away, and I could still hear it at the ticket office! Memories.
We knew one Italian family who had the similarly styled green VC 125. I found it so funny that people were mentioning Italians in this thread. laugh

Anyhow, what a grand resto we have here!! I love the use of self propelled rear wheels and the more modern thumb latch catcher. I have been lying in bed lately, wondering what that catcher would look like on this style of mower and here it is in PURPLE!! What a great start to 2017.
A couple of questions. Did you use plastic primer to paint the catcher?? And what is the exact brand of paint you used? Looks teriffic!!


Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
