mikoooo those old coils always go bad 15 yearys ago it cost around $80 to rewind
if you serch internet you can find coil winder there are couple in vic you should find someone in nsw but it wont be cheap
may be you can find old mower shop near you some are horder and may have coils or complete engine you can buy cheap.
some one on outdoorking is cleaning out a mower shop lot of old stuff he may find a coil or motor he wants to sell it all
you have to find his post or may be some one on hear lead you to it
I replaced many of those coils
I used to work on early model motors than yours with kick start when running very good simple motor 1940s 50s design piston lump heavy cast iron
