Good point Gadge. Makes sense when you put it that way.
G'day AusAnzani firstly congratulations on your restorations they truly are to an exceptional standard. To be honest mate I have done nothing more than to turn the pull start by hand to make sure she wasn't seized. I wanted to find out a little more before i start pulling it to wee bits and can't find parts.
I can see I am missing the air cleaner and outer half of the muffler.
The carbys going to need some sorting.
The electrical cover at the front still looks solid.
I'll pull the cover off later for a look and to make sure that crankcase seal you speak of is still solid.
Is there anywhere I might be able to track down the muffler half and points or whatever else I may need?
I don't suppose they share rings or bearings with anything else if it comes to that?
Is here any other suggestions or words of wisdom you may wish to share?
Thanks mate.
