lift the whole engine . place the boss (rusty looking thing the blade plate fits onto)on something solid ...... then strike the other side of boss with a hammer it should pop off it is a taper fit not pressed on the crankshaft. sort of like a big V inside and end of the crank is too on the outside . i have done it often just putting a sledge hammer on a steel bbq plate on concrete put the boss on sledge hammer and hit the side facing you not the thread though with a smaller ballpein hammer
