because it can change the metal and weaken it distort it . if you tried a carb that you know was working and it didnt start , then back on the other machine and it works then a problem inside engine rings not sealing , a leak somewhere .
i didnt say let it go , i said do it the right way . slowly with correct parts . or good parts if you fitted those things you made last night im surprised it even kicked
they might be an easy simple little engine BUT they still need things in good condition no leaks , rings sealing good top n bottom seals too .
or take the head barrel and piston from the other engine and use correct gaskets .
in the time this has taken now we could have stripped polished , painted and rebuilt an engine in a lot less time done the RIGHT way
