I have had a lot of trouble myself finding out exactly how you should tension the belt for Super 600 & Super 24 models, after working on one, and finding that I could not get it to output power correctly, at first i thought there was engine issues, but over a successive number of engines I found the exact same issue persisted, leading me to think I had the belt wrong.
I think I might well be able to get this Super 600 working now, and back to it's extremely patient owner who has been more than happy to wait and see how this all goes (One of our own, etal from Bega)
Even though I had tried a number of different tensions, it seems I was still doing it wrong, according to this, the bolt should not actually be pressing into the surrounding washer, so I'm going to try out this tensioning guide myself, and report back once I have the results!!
It may be a few weeks, as I am currently needing to move house again, but keep your eyes here if you want to know how this goes!
