Victa have now done an absolute 'transformation' on their premier range
Of the 12 Victa corvette range available through gold dealers there are:
2 Battery electric
7 briggs and stratton
4 Chonda
Additionally, 2/5 of the top line Mustang will have 170cc chonda
That means a third of the range is now Chonda powered. And in my view these ones are not good chondas either. There are good chonda like loncin and the V40 and sanli aren't awful.
Edit - it would appear there may be one B&S model missing off the website, so nearly a third
The sumec ancillaries seem very chintzy - starters easy to buckle, all generally plasticy, there is no microswitch for the kill wire - just a little exposed bit that looks like a miniature spoon that hits the throttle and kills it.
To be fair, briggs did the same, but when it bends and doesn't work after 5 uses there is a problem (seen 2x already)
These sumec made chondas "grace" every bottom dweller from bunnings yardking to mitre 10 yardforce and throughout the USA
Without getting political, Sumec is under direct control of the CCP which explains a lot
