I had thought the 1964 Cortina 4 had used the same base as a 1963 Corvette but now I am a lot more certain
the early Cortina didn't have a side cover so thanks for clearing that up WCE and Jack.

I did not realise this until I re-looked at the information for my previous post.
But I was still not sure. Sometimes, my brain hurts.
It now makes more sense; in that the flagship
Corvette was the
up-sell for the
Cortina in 1964 - meaning that the edging flap
was a Corvette selling feature that could not be on the early Cortinas.
Max, you remind all that Manuals are imperfect.
I wish Victa had adopted the Briggs tiered system of Model, Type and Code.
