Only had eyes for the base as the Briggs was fitted at a later date. What makes me think it is an early 4 stroke base was a 4 stroke engine with Victa plate on the front, same as on my Corvette 4 sitting about 30 meters away from this mower, the engine was seized so didn't worry about it. Unfortunately the cowling wasn't with it. Ill take the Briggs off when I get a chance and have a good look at the base.
