Norm, that's a great story.
It's amazing that Kirby played a role in the Redex trial.
I'd think that Kirby, Doutty & Wicks was a subsidiary of James N Kirby Pty Ltd
Gadge, true by the Redex trial, but K.D.W. was formed in
1936 -
before there
was an overarching company.
That's my reading of the Kirby bio I have here. Not a subsidiary, but separate.
My best guess is that the micrometer logo originated with K.D.W.
The simple point I was making is that this logo was much older than thought.
Maybe new information will come forward.
