My late grandmother had this exact mower. This has the wrong wheels. The ones on MW's are the right style and I recall the hubcaps just had the letter v stamped in the centre like other Victa models of the time.
I fitted a primer cap to it. Was not impressed with the heavy feel pushing it compared to my VC Mustang with ball bearing wheels which is why I turned it down all this years ago when nan offered it to me. I was crazy!

While you were mislead on the catcher condition, which was a garbage move, the chassis looks excellent. The left side is nearly always worn to some degree. The annoying thing with this model is the catcher it specific in colour and name stamping and is relatively rare over the black Victa in this style.


Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
