What a joke Converse regards the fuel tap. It better be the better one after that wait -but I don't think it will be.

Hello B_B, Victa did indeed introduce a green VC Sports after the G4 plastic carburettor came out. Not sure about the red one but no purple VC Sports got G4s. Tyler's mower is original, evidenced by no screw holes visible for the VC Mustang cover. What I was meaning is this model amounts to little more than a re-covered VC Mustang as the base is the same colour, unlike the red and purple ones. One reason I do like the green one though, is the white cover combined with the green base offers a welcome alternative to the all pervasive green of the Mustang model.
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
Yes I'll have to agree with you on that horrid looking Green Mustang that just looks like a horrible lump on a set of wheels. The VC Sports was a much sleeker looking machine and then the 500 Twin looked even sleeker with the longer cover on the top.
Must admit I'm still interested in picking up that twin when I'm next at that location with around 400~500 mowers all in one place.
Cheers, BB.
I live a 24 Hour lifestyle, but every now and again I seem to fall asleep, well at least that's what my wife tells me.
Just an update on that Victa fuel tap that I ordered from Bunnings special orders. Well after a 6 week wait to receive the item they supplied me with the same latest new style one that are sold everywhere now. Oh well at least it was only $8.90 and not as much as the one I got from the local mower shop a while ago which cost me something like $12.
I thought there may have been a slight chance they might still have some old stock left in a warehouse somewhere of the older style taps. I wonder what they done with all those older taps that got sent back from Bunnings stores? Probably ended up in the dumpster at Victa (Briggs and Stratton)?
Cheers!
Zip a dee doo dah, zip a dee ay, another trash picked Victa, hip hip Hooray!
