Hello Cyberjack. Tecnico made their electric lawn mower with some interchangeable parts with the Tecnico floor polisher (mid - late 40s?) I will attach a photo of one here. I also have grandmothers Hotpoint floor polisher which seems identical to the Tecnico version and I therefore assume manufactured by Tecnico as well.
Regards,
Steve

G'day Steve
This is an interesting subject you raise.

It's clear that Tecnico - post WWII - had a clear plan to engage in
an emerging market ... mass-produced consumer goods.

The obvious choices were radios, mowers, vacuums and polishers, and then
other household electric and white goods. Later, Tecnico became Pye-Tecnico (c1956)
and then Pye Indrustries (1959). Pye would be taken over by the Giant Philips Industries
in about 1977.

The image you supplies appears to be a later two-rotor job.
Best guess, the first Tecnico floor polisher was a three-rotor job.
Both are presented here: -

That's interesting - the similarity to Grandmother's Hotpoint...

Many thanks for adding to the record! smile
