Hi all, the Brass pull/push fuel tap on my 64/5 utility mower needs new o rings. The one closest to the pull knob is a conventional looking seal but the one at the front looks a flatter, wider seal and they look to be different sizes. There is one seal listed in parts on the site but hard to tell from picture which one it is. Are the seals available together in a kit ?
Thanks wce

G'day wce, These taps just use two identical conventional o-rings; the front one always wears more though, which is why it looks flat. Just order two of them! Lube them with a little oil before reinstalling the plunger to the tap - it'll go in a lot easier.
The reason that they are listed singly these days under Victa P/No HA25048, is that they are also used as main jet o-rings in the G2 and G3 carbies under P/No CR03330. Back in the day, the genuine Victa HA25048 was a pair of o-rings, in a 'skin pack'.
Cheers, Gadge

Hi Gadge
Many thanks, the plunger was stuck in the body as the mower hasn't been used for ages, when i finally got it out the front O ring looked like a dropped pie.
Cheers wce

G'day speedy, Yep; I have several o-ring 'grab kits', as they're known in the trade; [a British Standard Imperial and a couple of Metric ones], but I'll only buy kits that state what type of rubber they use.
Nitrile Rubber is very good for fuel and oil resistance, but not Neoprene, which is also common.
Cheers, Gadge

The problem O-ring assortments for me is they seem to never have the sizes I need for mower engines repairs. I agree that Nitrile rubber is the ones to get as Gadge said. I have heard that these o-rings will go bad even when not used but the kit I have is over 15 yrs old and they are still in good shape.
Here the jets in Nikki carburetors that are held in place with tiny o-rings are needing to replaced but Briggs doesn't supply them and they were very hard to find in bulk. Good news though as Kawasaki does sell them separately. Why install a 12 usd jet when only it needs a 1.45 usd o-ring [my retail prices].
Otherwise it seems OEMs intently use o-rings that are non-standard sizes making the need for us to buy from them only.
