Don't think greenfield ever did anything like that, they weren't the best record keepers by any means. If lewis reinhold ever surfaced again he might have half an idea.

From all the pics i've seen you're anniversaries are all original, as horrible to work on as they were, they weren't greenfields finest models.

Its not terribly hard to tell if something has been modified, as it generally won't work properly!

I do believe you’re right nath, it does appear to be an 8. The lack of running boards is another indicator.

Blended, I did muck about briefly a long time ago trying to collate serial numbers - particularly for the HD series but soon realised there wasn’t the volume of machines and data needed to piece together any sort of system.

Your plans for Tractor are awesome! I can’t fully picture what you’re going to do but in my minds eye it looks positively ‘monster’ and goes like the wind!

P.S. the ztr is unfortunately on hold for the moment. My eldest has bought a property up the road and it’s taking up all my time. I’d got to the stage where driveability had been fully sorted and I’d fixed on a deck drive design and had started the lathe work for this. The deck drive design has been a challenge. I’ll get back to it soon hopefully.

It’s coming out for a play later today so the nephews can have a belt round on it.

Wasnt so much the tractor i was asking about Nath, i was more interested to see if my two Anniversaries had been left alone. As you mentioned (an i suspect) they are as Greenfield intended.

prd, shame! I do know we are talking a life time ago, its a shame there wasn't a record kept.

I also appreciate the enthusiastic comment regarding my project, it's good to know there is a little interest already.

I am yet to have a (to a degree) full outline on what i will do, a lot will be changed "on the run" as you would imagine.

I just missed out on this little gem, local and well priced. Me being a tight arse in the negotiation stage, i missed it. Rookie error.

Kicking myself as i could have had a great head start.

Oh well, live and learn.
