Actually I don't have an issue with the colour at all and as Jack has suggested the refurb job has been done very nicely with quite a lot of attention to detail.
Cheers, BB.
I live a 24 Hour lifestyle, but every now and again I seem to fall asleep, well at least that's what my wife tells me.
great job i agree but if ya gunna go to that level a can or two of yellow would have taken it to the next level, just saying not knock'n it. after all it's a greenfield! g'day prd they are 10 mins from me but i got too much on the go atm, even tho i am tempted two buy both
That must be tough gml! 10 minutes away and having to resist at least going and kicking the tyres!
What the 'bronze goddess' in the photos above does do is gives us a great photo reference of the later style decals that were used on these machines. It's also got the wind row chute- which is quite rare.
I told a mate about them tonight and he will probably grab one because he wants something small enough to mow around/between his trees where he can't get his zero turn in. Also he thinks it would be a good talking/laughing point
My only issue with my mate getting one is I know who will have to fix it. I told him I would prefer to cut around and under his trees with a 24 than have to fix a ride on for him,I'm getting too old for this.
prd, you got that right, they go forever, they have already gone, just hope my mate didn't buy both of them. gml, I just realized it is you causing me grief, before I mentioned these two Greenies he was on about seeing if I could fit a 28 inch deck that is on Gumtree into the Massey Ferguson I have here that originally belonged to him 10 years ago.I quickly mentioned the Greenies to take his attention off the deck
guy's i went and had a look at those two greenies(with a pocket full of chaff) and they are the business!the supa swift is interesting the way it operates, you have to engage the cutter to move and it has a steel deck, the owner assure's me he got it from the orig purchaser and it is orig, i dont know enough about them to disagree, they both go well and cut,i was going to buy both and hope for a qiuck flip and a small profit but he is not going to budge much, still either one or both would be a good purchase, nice young bloke as well
If he's got no wriggle room on price they might sit around for a bit. Will be interesting to see.
I'd noticed the steel deck but dismissed it immediately as being a 'Dad n Dave' installation. Closer inspection and it looks too good a job for that- looks factory/machine built! Maybe they did mess about with a steel deck for a time? Or could it be retrofitted off another brand of machine?
If it is a factory steel deck that machine is worth a bit more for the rarity?
Looks to me like they have both seen a lick of paint at some point of their life, Also not the very different levers on the red one, especially the extra one for the cutter deck clutch next to the park brake.
Thanks Nath, I will let my mate know. Another thing I have been thinking about for some time, in my mates situation mowing around these trees, the 2 wheel drive presents sharp turning problems, what if we removed the keyway from one side of the axle and just allowed one wheel to free wheel with plenty of grease on the shaft? any thoughts?
Ok thinking about it I doubt my mate would be able to get on and off these, I think we will have to chase something rear engined so he can step through to get on it.
hi all, prd the red one is a supa swift all orig, as present owner purchased it from original owner,it is a different beast that's for sure, nath paint is orig on both machines,i spent a long time going over these, present owner has made side chute(good job) and built tool box for the yellow one,he is handy with the tools,he is selling off some stuff (to keep her of indoors happy is my guess)... no meat on the bone for me to flip so i will watch wait and see, cheers
Gml, the difference in paint colour on the tool box makes sense now. The supaswift is a bit more interesting to me now given that it's branded as such, is in great shape (original paint), and has that deck......
Nath, Thanks for posting the photos. I was struggling with trying to do same but apparently the file size of a screen shot meant I was part way through trying to reduce the file size so the forum would accept it. I'm a bit of a Luddite.
The paint overall does look genuine, it was just the seat & steering wheel on the yellow one that threw me.. Probably a good thing i'm not closer, they would both be mine if they were!
There was one listed locally to me a couple weeks ago, at first for $1000 then he dropped it to $500, I couldn't do it though, It was a yellow one painted red, had a G200 among other issues..
