ptg, It sounds like you have a fuel problem and what I would be doing is the following; 1. Check the filter in the fuel tank. 2. Check the filter screen in the carby(especially if the carby was made in Mexico) as it is a very tight mesh. Check what I have suggested first and we will go from there.

Sorry ptg, Did you check the screen in the carby as it has a very tight mesh and any dirt will block it making it hard to start. Also check the screws holding the mounting block to the cylinder because if they are loose you will also have prob's starting. As to the plugs I prefer to use NGK as I have found them to be reliable. Another thing would be the carby settings on the high and low mixture screws. Let us know how you go after checking the above as well as the mixture settings.

HI Bruce, yes i cleaned the screen and it had some crap in it, its now clean. Checked all other bolts and screws, and adjusted the carby, I used it in the vacant block next door and it went like a ripper. Low needle about 1&1/2 turns Hi needle about 1&1/8 turn and I will get a new plug for it. Thanks for all your help.
