Well looks like tRump administration is going to mess with our fuel here by allowing E15 fuel blends during the Summer months. I know he just doing it to please the corn farmers but has even gave a thought to users of lawn care equipment and the problems it will when our equipment is design for E10 max blends; most likely not a thought about it. I personally seen this Spring before the switch back to E10 did to some engines. Several came in with fuel vapor lock where the fuel was boiling in the fuel lines due to heat off the engines. Most of our parts that is affected by Ethanol is only rated for E10 max levels.

E15 for US Summer Fuels

Oh boy I going to some unwanted problems to deal with if this goes through as that is a 50% increase in the Ethanol content of the fuel. I already got enough problems with the effects of the tariff war tRump started starting to affect my parts costs. I have already seen most rather jump in the prices that are just being release to my distributors from the OEMs. Just like them I need to pass along these increases to the endusers and they are not going to like it at all.

To the moderators this not a political post although I did intentionally mis-capitalize the name but rather just about what we facing when it comes to futures repairs here in the US. Also if there is a better place for this please move it to appropriate forum.

So sorry for you over there AVB, I can imagine the frustration it causes you but at least you get cheap fuel. Apparently we are not too bad here at $1.60 a liter because my son in NZ says it is around $2.20 over there

I remember reading that over in NZ, the govt tariff on petrol is higher, but the car rego cost is lower. Idea is to 'tax' those who use roads more (who use more petrol). Probably not popular with people with great off road fuel uses (generators, tractors, etc). Might be exclusions, etc.

Rego over here in WA has gone past $700 per year for run of the mill Camry's, which is pretty steep. At least with the NZ method of extra price on petrol, you pay progressively, and not in one huge hit.
They probably end up getting more in the long run though.

At least we don't have yearly RWC over here in WA ... yet

15% ethanol isn't going to end well - especially with people who fill the 10l mower fuel can once a year.

Hi Tyler another thing in NZ is they have to get a warrant (rwc) every 6 months I think it is, I guess that keeps people employed. Rego over here passed the $700 mark some years ago
