Hello Bergy

OMG! shocked

This is as good as it gets!
This is one of the greatest contributions to ODK records.
Thank you.

The photography is professional.
This is almost a swansong to the great Model 45 Scott Bonnars.
It is - most certainly - the greatest tribute to the Model 45.

Any comments about your project would be welcome.
You have left us a significant legacy of the 'old 45'.

I still remain shocked. shocked

Many thanks!

Thanks very much Jack.

I certainly wasn't expecting a response like that.

The project only became a goal about twelve months ago after I'd finished the 17". They took a bit of hunting down. The 17" and an edger attachment came from Toowoomba in Qld where I live, the 14" from Texas on the Qld / NSW border, and the 20" and an edger from WA and the 3rd edger was from Tasmania. So as you could imagine they've cost me quite a bit of time and money.

Each mower has its own little interesting story to tell from their previous owners.

Hi Bergy,

No chance that you want a 590 Diplomat (Rear catcher) to add to your collection. I have one here still worked 20 years ago, including the drive mechanism . Not started in 20yrs though. All there including the catcher. I would like it gone. I am in Brisbane.

All the best
Jeff

Hi Bergy and all the Model 45 Lovers,

I also concur with Jack regarding the impact that these photos have made on the ODK platform.

It's also nice to see that these have been done by a "Novice" as your status suggests LOL. crazy If only all the novices that have attempted (no disrespect intended) could come up with such a beautiful result.

One particular thing that jumps out in the comparison photos is that the spiral direction on the 20 inch reel flows oppositely to the 14 and 17 inch machines. The 20 inch reel was always a better made reel when compared to the more affordable smaller units.

If I may ask one thing though, what's happened to the two Kirby power plants that would've been originally fitted to the 17 and 20 inch
machines ?

I've always loved the look of the forward mounted larger one quart fuel tanks fitted on HK30's and optionally on the 25's that featured the model name and sizing decal.

Regardless of that, the Briggs engines on all 3 machines just adds to the flowing of those images and then adding those bowling balls into the frame is a nice finish.

Either way your efforts are displayed for everyone to take in and enjoy.

I'm sitting here on the sidelines applauding.................Absolutely Well Done !! You're a Superstar.

Cheers,
BB.

PS. Since you're in Queensland I most certainly understand how much in funds you would've injected into three machines and especially obtaining one from Western Australia as well.

I live a 24 Hour lifestyle, but every now and again I seem to fall asleep, well at least that's what my wife tells me.
