<just not long ago finished restoring a Imperial Mower 14in 1974 got everything working but I gave up on Carburettor it just kept flooding and then leaking I was able to get another Needle and float put that in
worked for 1 week then again did same thing
Took it too the Victa accredited Repairer he is having same trouble been trying to source a Carburettor but found nothing now been 5 weeks .
Nothing I can find in Parts area either im asking if anyone has or knows of anyone that has a Carburettor for Imperial 14in as its different to 16inch as far as I know as this machine has a Decompressor that runs a line to side of carb
from side or motor.
or at least find out what this Carburettor is EG: G3 Etc

Thanks Gary

I found one of these years ago and as far as I could tell, the carburettor was a modified G3 without the governor flag. The part where the shaft of the flag came out was blanked off.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

Hello Burgo60 and Mowerfreak.
Yes, this was an ungoverned carburettor.
The parts list make it clear all 2-stroke Imperials had an identical motor.

That parts list is available as part of the Record for this machine:-

https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=72729

The engine was special in that it had an engine compression spacer
and a heavily modified G3 carby.

Burgo, I hope you sort out the issues here.

Cheers
Jack
