Hi Jack, I'm trying to procure a transparent carburetor filter/bowl cover for a Villiers 412H-2 motor on a (Model 17) 20" Supercut Scott Bonnar mower, can you please help me. I'm on training wheels trying to use this site.

Villiers parts are pretty common and people will have spares. The traffic flow on this website is somewhat slow so i suggest other more frequented pages on facebook and the like.
Carbs can be had on ebay, fuel tank caps are reasonably generic ite, .Try a victa etc. H/T lead ebay again but will have to do some modifying. Piston/ rings Vaces are your best bet otherwise find a complete engine to swap over (did this numerous times on atcos, ransomes etc). Just be aware there a few different types.

Hi TJAY,

You can obtain a new bowl from John at rusticspares.com.au

What kind of fuel cap are they? I'm having trouble seeing the one clearly in the photo. I do have a few old caps here, but probably not a Villiers, as far as I know.

G'day vint-mow and all
I have identified two fuel caps used on these engines.
The first is alloy and notched;
The second is round, knurled and plated.

Best guess here: the first one.

Hope this helps
Jack

I can't help with the cap sorry. Hang in there, your parts will eventually come up somewhere if you keep looking. I spent 12 months looking for a Kirby-Lauson engine before one suddenly appeared on eBay one day.
