Usually it's only four strokes these days but there were a couple of Powertorques the other day, one with a new looking LM carby ( blue one in second picture).
I remember in the 1990s it was teeming with 1970s goodies like VC Mustangs and other various full crank Victa 2 strokes of all ilks.
I used to look forward to seeing the different mowers waiting out the front each day on my way to Tafe. Good days.
The same brothers who own the business are still there.

Could the admins have a look at attachment manager? I cannot load pictures even after all the reducing under the sun. The following is the message I get after pushing upload button.

We encountered a problem. The reason reported was:
Files can be no larger than 0 Bytes. (?!?)

Return to the previous page or use search if you are looking for something specific.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

I can't see the picture for some reason?

I still see some full cranks working down here but increasingly it's Sanli rubbish or just Jims mowing doing the lawns. There's also a trend to have ride on mowers especially with the folk from the city. John Deere really are onto something by marketing a mower that looks like their bigger tractors as a lot of these people want to say that they've got a JD tractor!

Everybody is aware of the JD brand and their colour scheme is impressive and as you say many people are drawn in by the huge equipment farm JD make. And I'm also doing my best to get another 100 Powertorques and full cranks back into turning grass into lawn the way it used to be.

TEST

This photo is reduced to 388kb. (W36.12cm x H26.99cm)

The confusing thing is the attachment manager has the following:
Maximum size per file is 2.86 MB

However, I can upload larger pictures than 400kb in the gallery??

Hi LRT,

Any relation to "Lewis Roberts-Thompson" ?? Ex Swans Player, good one actually.

Anyway, yes you can upload slightly larger ones, but it is good enough for the site and the photos are good enough for the average computer screen and even up to TV size. There's a bit of a misconception that you need a big file size for good images, well yes if you are going to use it for artwork on the sides of Buses etc. but all it does is place a bigger load on our limited storage space that's not really required and slows the loading time right down.

BTW when comparing both your test images the 397kb version is great while the 27kb version is just way to small isn't it ?

I'll have to say that this is an issue that we are going to have to address as I spend quite a lot of time reducing posters image size so that they'll even show on the thread opposed to just seeing a link.

It's all part of this sites evolution I guess so please don't feel bad about it, it's merely a learning curve so to speak.

Cheers,
BB.

Last night, when I pressed the attachment manager in full editor, it said "Maximum size per file is 0 bytes", below the attach files button, hence not allowing me to upload.
I tried it in other sections and the line was normal saying
"Maximum size per file is 2.86 MB", but I kept getting the 0 bytes message here. I tried looking at other threads in the Off Topics section to see if other picture attachments had been uploaded, but they were all either text only, or older threads that had used the old method of putting up pictures which doesn't apply now. I was left with the impression that this particular section had been restricted on purpose, and it was for text only posts.
Well, this debacle has altered the course of this topic for good.
It seems my PM to one of the admins finally paid off.

Hi BB,

No LRT stands for Land Rover Triumph.

I grew up working on Land Rover 4x4's & Triumph 2500 cars so I abbreviated them to use in my business name without the risk of being threatened to be taken to court by using Land Rover's name. (Since TATA bought Jaguar Land Rover in 2008 they've really cracked down on businesses world wide, which seems stupid to me)

This forum I also use has a system that automatically resizes the photos to suit the server:

A chance to steer the discussions back to topic, I took this shot today, showing two different Powertorque mowers. I saw another one in the back of a BF Falcon station wagon nearby.
