Sorry to tease but they were the only pics I took after putting them in the shed late the other night. Other jobs took precedence today so it might end up being a slow reveal.
All I will say is that they are both missing engines and one is without a clutch. Apart from that they seem to be all there (unlike me sometimes 😁).
The engines are not a problem. I already have a 3hp Briggs of the same vintage waiting to be put back to work and I reckon I can easily find another engine (maybe not that old but that is ok). The clutch could be a bit more difficult.
It's amazing how a previous tenant of the Pacific Blue Model 33 decided to paint it the more expensive colour of Alpine Green so it looked like the normal Scott Bonnar Model 45. This would have been one of the later Model 33's as they carried the Lawn King name over to the Model 45 and then painted those in Pacific Blue.
Your Model 33 would've had a Kirby Power Plant on it and not a Briggs as the Briggs engines weren't fitted across the full range until late 1975.

Thanks for the info BB. I've had previous experience with the Kirby and found the Briggs to be a better option. Availability of parts being the major one. Plus already having the Briggs helped the decision.
Perhaps I will have to consider a different option for the second machine.
Can you supply some photos of the whole mower showing the handle bars ?
Also can you please reduce your file size down to around 400kb prior to posting on to a thread as when they are too large it will only show it as a link and not an actual photo.

Hi all, Sorry for the delay in following up but I've been slowed down by double hernia surgery. Still no heavy lifting allowed so I have stuck to smaller jobs. First up was the older 33 and so far all I've done is strip it down. In preparation for the next stage I made a sandblasting cabinet out of a 200l crate I had lying around. Pics to follow.
Yes I totally understand as I had a triple hernia op done 5 months ago and have just aggravated it by doing something silly without thought.
The tub look rather ingenious to me and at such a low cost as well. The only issue I can see is that the window won't last long if it's made from perspex.

I hope things are ok with the hernia. That is my fear so I am trying to take it easy but it is a pain in the !@#. The window is polycarbonate so it will scratch up a fair bit. But, I found a source of free offcuts and have 2 spares and the chance to get more
To bring things up to date. With most of the earlier work done just before my op I only had a couple of light jobs left. 1. I put on 2 cords (mower starter rope) to stop the lid falling back too far. Just visible in the top right of the second pic. 2. I mounted the air filter - that lets air flow out (old mower filter in a box that held self drilling screws). First pic to give a better view of sandblast gun mentioned in earlier post.
