Hello all,
I'm a new member and need advice on my project.
I have a rover colt 8 that has a working Honda motor but no cutting deck and a Rover colt major with cutting deck but no motor.
Would the cutting deck fit to the rover colt 8 or should I do a motor swap to the Major ?

This question has come up before.
Without images, comment is difficult, or impossible.

Rovers should have model plates - this info is required for comment.
Changing engines is always the better option than fitting a cutter deck to a different model.
That is asking for trouble.

So, please see if you can find the maker's plates and provide images.

Jack is correct, motor swap is easier. Drain the fuel,oil and remove the battery if it has one and then tip the mower onto its side, this makes it much easier to see what you have to do to get the motor out.
