FOR SALE - Scott Bonnar Queen 30 inch cylinder mower 3 phase electric. $400 ONO. Comes with 60 metres of extension cable, spare reel (used) and 2 catchers. This mower is in good condition and was being used as the primary mower on a country bowling green up to the time the club closed. Had the intention to modify to a petrol engine but my knowledge / abilities mean this is a harder prospect than first thought. Unfortunately I dont have 3 phase at home so will be sold as is. Pick up only. Sorry to be a wet blanket, but I think this would be really hard to move on, potential buyers would be few and far between. Apart from the fact it is a Queen, the 3 phase would lock out most people thinking about it

Thanks Norm. I'm sure your advice is probably right as I really had little idea about the market. I think next best option is to sell motor and extension cord separately and take what I can.

Jayresy, I did think the lead might be the easiest to sell, then the motor as you say, then by some chance somebody might be interested in the mower to convert it to a petrol motor but being a Queen it is a bit big for any domestic lawn

Hi Jayresy,Good luck with the sale,I work at a bowls club and we normally get around $200 trade in on the queens when buying a new mower.I buy the old ones like this for doing the rough work on greens brooming, picking up soil cores etc.If you were in NSW I would be interested but freight would be a killer.Cheers Ian

Hi Jayresy, NormK and sb30inch,
Most of the advice given is pretty much spot on, but remembering that you bought it originally and thus maybe you might find someone that is thinking along the same lines you originally were and thus get your cash back, chances are slim but it's always worth a try. Put it on Gumtree and see what happens, what have you got to lose ?
Cheers, BB.

Thanks guys, all great advice.
I think I might have a buyer for the motor and 3 phase cord. Anyone in SA looking for Queen parts let me know as they only want the two items. Thanks again....
