Hello,

I have recently just started on my first restoration on a model 45. Both corks were fairly worn so I thought I would replace both while it was a part. The cork on the spinning clutch is fine but now I'm finding that the one in behind the chain case is not free spinning like I thought it should. Once I put the large sprocket on the cork pressed up quite hard against. I'm not sure if I've done it right or if because it's a new cork.

Will this loosen up once the motor goes on or have i done something wrong?

Hello 81ueoval - yes, the landroll clutch should be free-spinning when disengaged.
This is achieved by loosening nut (40) from bolt (38) until
the large sprocket just spins freely.

This adjustment should be done before the clutch cable is adjusted.

Hope this helps.

Yout mower looks good enough to eat. Lovely blue you chose.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

thanks im happy with the result its the first thing I have ever restored. I now just have to save up for a few months to buy her a new motor unless I can find a second hand one that runs for cheap.
