Will be putting a new blade boss on a new briggs 850 engine this afternoon, its a victa boss for a self-propelled mulchmaster (EE14476A)
is there any thing l should be aware of, do l just slip the key in & slide it on?specifically, does it go on just by torquing the blade carrier plate with a rattle gun or do l need to whack it on?

The boss should be a sliding or transitional fit (for easy removal).
Yes, it is crucial to torque the holder bolt.
