There was a mower shop only doors from my home that shut shop earlier this year, run by a man of retirement age. I dreamt I decided to take a VC 160 for him to repair and I was concerned what it would cost but felt it was better to leave it in his hands rather than do it myself.
He revealed that he has been driving cabs for the last 9 months after he was sick of working on mowers but decided to come back as he realised it was in his blood and the hiatus had helped him clear his head.
As he started pulling apart the motor there was a slot in some metal and he proceeded to prise it open with a screwdriver and said this will make it run much better. I was thinking wow I'm glad I decided to take it to him. But then I started to worry what the final bill would be as he started taking the barrel apart , ready to put a new piston in.
He and his assistant had an impressive array of specialised looking tools and equipment and I thought it best to leave it in their expert hands.
They then told me to come back in the afternoon to see how they were going.
I was thinking, this mower is going to run like a Swiss watch with so much attention
I never did get to see how it went but never had to face the bill either. wink

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

Cyberjack are you okay?? I did not mean to mower- freak you guys out.
I don't intend to share every dream I have on here.
I was quite bemused myself and thought it would garner some theories as to what it points to.
I never would have dreamt of a such a daft looking meme to appear, that's for sure.
Maybe I have opened a Pandoras box of psychological issues with myself and others.
I don't know. But perhaps I need to steer away from more than perfunctory posts from now on.
Yours the mowerfreak.

Yes, that is probable...
Keep posting your thoughts and dreams.
At least you're not throwing mowers over cliffs ...

Cheers

^The one thing I never liked about the mark 1 was the 7" wheels at the rear. The impulse starter redeems them somewhat.
I had one once but it had a zip starter fitted instead.
I had seen some with impulse starters but presumed owners has fitted them later.
I'd love a VC 125, of which I believe you have a couple.
