Gentlemen, I have just pulled apart my HK30 carby and the bowl section is completely corroded. Where can I get one? I'm not having any luck in the second hand market. Seen lots on ebay, so which one would suit my machine. Thanks Llew

G'day Llew, Bruce has a Tecumseh bowl listed over at the ODK Shop that might suit; the bowl is a 'common part' used on a number of different Kirby and Tecumseh engines. He may need accurate measurements of a few dimensions, to confirm it's the right part, so it's best to contact him through the Shop website; the bowl is on this page; https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/engines...h-carburettors-parts?sort=20a&page=3 BTW, that bowl doesn't have the drain valve, which is a plus - no rubber seal, which eventually perishes and leaks fuel.
Cheers, Gadge

$50 for a second hand one ???????? why would anyone spend that sort of money for such a common part. There are Kirby's being thrown out everyday and most of them will have their carby's attached. Just search on Gumtree and you'll soon find one. Actually put a message under the wanted section on here and I'm sure someone will answer the call.
Cheers, BB.

Hi Llew,
The HK25, 30 H4 etc all use pretty much the same style carby that uses the exact same bowl.
One thing that must be considered with these earlier bowls with the drain trickler at the bottom is that they all leak as Mod Gadge has already suggested. Many people just remove them and place a small nut and bolt with a fibre washer on each side to stop leakage.
No need for hasty cash spending as one will turn up in no time.
Cheers, BB.

I'm in SA. What parts are you happy to part with? Thanks for the reply too.
