Hi,

This is not mine but I saw this on gumtree today.

Don't know if he has the cowl or not but it may be worth checking out.

Pete

It's already sold minus the cowling and other bits and pieces. It sold for $100, no not to me. The guy had 5 offers.

I wonder how well it would sell in other cities?
There was a yellow vortex in Perth ( complete but well used condition) lingering on eBay recently.
I imagine it would have sold quickly if it was in any other state.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

Wow $100 even without cowl is very cheap.

How hard is it to get the right snorkel and throttle cable for one of these?
I have had to make do with a set from a steel decked power torque model and it sticks out a bit.

The snorkel shouldn't be hard but the cable is a different length. Sorry I can't remember if it's longer or shorter but I do remember it's not the same length as other mowers.I think though that it is slightly longer than other cables.I would have to check if you really wanted to know.

I still have the old one that I can use for reference.
The snorkel is easy to cut down to size.

Gday guys i ended up buying this twin in adelaide. Its pretty rough, but i havent had the chance to have a proper look at the internals. This is the first one ive seen in person so i not too fond of what parts are missing. Ok theres no cowling, heaven knows if ill ever find one, is there by any chance another cowling is close enough to modify? The flywheel nut is totally rounded and i cant even use a powerdrill to start the bugger. Im sure it will be a bitch to get off.
