Certainly a novel solution.
The steel cowl goes well with the steel chassis.
I take that to be a 125. Does it work well?

Can we see a left side view.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

It doesn't look very aerodynamic at all.Does the head over hang the base?
You'd have to be careful at garden edges.

A Victa cowl designed for east- west mounting should bolt on.

The base is from the early 1980s and is the first of Victa's long lived (production wise) pressed steel base.
I read in another thread that this first version of the base has thicker steel, so less prone to rusting through than the later ones for the power torque motor.
This motor dates from the 1960s and must be a 125cc as I believe the Cortina model never carried the 160cc.
If you can get it to run, you have a great bitsa here.
Looks like fun.

Cheers for that I've had a few people comment that it should have a full crank engine on there which would explain the recess at the rear.

Once running I think I might clear coat this one keep the look it has

I don't know but would this pressed metal base have started with the first of the sidepull motors?

Yep, the side pull full crank 160 with electronic ignition, the last iteration before the half crank powertorque series.
125s and 160s dating back to the 1960s have the same mounting bolt pattern.
