I suggest lubricating the upper and lower bushes in the starter motor with a good anti seize compound and checking the brushes while it is apart
|

dear bruce, I found out that the starter motor was not turning fast enough ,it was bulking !even through I had it fixed.so my friend has taken it off for a good clean up,hope. fred. Are you sure the battery is ok because it might be failing under load i.e. the battery voltage drops from 12+ volts to about 4 or 5 volts. Please check before going to much further.

dear bruce, I found that the starter motor cog wheel was upside
down,and the inside of the motor was full of bush/dust,and it looked like the bush,s was not filed right,.fred

Fred, Just give it a good clean out and make sure that you oil up the bushes. Let us know how you get on.
