Hi all , I have a B&S 10 horse I/C engine, it came with the wreck of a rover ranger lawn mower that I acquired. The engine is a model 256707, type 011402 code 90090531 so she's the best part of 30 years old. I've decided to refurbish the wreck and re purpose it , it is to become the prime mover for my spray tank so that my lawn mower can be used just for cutting grass, the deck was scrap and finding a replacement was not viable so I stripped it down to a rolling chassis and removed everything not required for it's new life . I did get the engine to start with the help of some ether and there were no clouds of smoke she should be OK with a little TLC ,I won't be asking a huge amount from it, just towing the tank and providing power for the pump.
The engine needs a couple of parts which i'm not sure where to find, I'm not keen to ask the local mower places here in Darwin, there seems to be a premium placed on just about every item up here, I need crank case breather tube, the one on the engine is the consistency of jelly and one end has disintegrated which was the main cause of the oil coating the carby and surrounding area and I need an O ring for the fuel bowl on the carby. Where would be the best place to find these parts ?
cheers Pete

Hi Pete, I'll contact my supplier on Monday and let you know. I usually get 15% off the RRP plus postage. However, they take a few days to reply and then a few more to ship, which can be frustrating.

cheers Pete Here are links to the parts which are available [color:#FF0000]Bowl Gasket [color:#FF0000]Breather Tube Postage would be $10.00 but it depends on how quick you want the parts.
