Hi all, Here's one that's just been picked up from a garage sale in Adelaide and proves good examples of this fine piece of machinery are still out there. This is a 170018 Supercut and they don't get much better than this apart from the fact that it's been mismatched with the incorrect coloured catcher. Check this one out and enjoy, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Scott-Bo...intage-Condition-Lawnmower-/322426007620Sadly his photos leave a lot to be desired in the clarity stakes though. Also his price point suggests he'll have it for quite some time as well. Cheers, BB.

Question is, did they come with a Honda motor, or is that a replacement motor? He is a second hand dealer and they are always in the market for a succour buyer. His description is too lengthy to the extent it almost talks you out of buying it.

It's certainly the original engine as the Supercut came out with a G40 or G41 engine. He's most certainly one that bends the truth a bit.
There are over 32 variants of the Supercut and had engines from Villiers, BSA and Honda in their line up. In actual fact SB would basically build one to your own requirements, that's how flexible they were with the Model 17.
I find it odd that he sells himself more of an upmarket antique dealer but goes out every Saturday morning and lists everything he finds straight off his front verandah instead of a proper shop front. He also uses that stupid line that "this came from a very wealthy estate", oh yeah ! and that New Yorkish User ID he uses. Some people just get a little carried away with themselves.
Cheers, BB.
