Hi, I have a brass fuel tap that leaks when turned on
have attached pic is there a "o" ring missing maybe ???

If leaking at T shaft then the packing is worn out if tightening nut doesn't stop it. Sometimes it is an o-ring, other times it is packing rope up inside the nut. Plumbing supply store should have what you're needing.
