Hi all.

Does anyone have any recommendations for taking my SB45 to have the cylinder sharpened in Brisbane, northside preferably.

And as a ball park, what might I expect to pay to have it done?

Can't suggest anyone up your way but if you are going to get the mower shop to do all the spanner work then it would be around the $180 mark, anything above that is a bit of a rip, but I guess I'm cross referencing that with Adelaide's prices which are a tad cheaper overall.

Not sure if anyone here will be able to recommend anyone up your way, but lets see what turns up.

Hi Dale,You could try Paul Asher at "Australian Turf Machinery"They are at Tingalpa,I don't know Brisbane so it may not suit you.I think they are around $60 dollars to have sharpened,last time I checked price.Cheers Ian

I think Dale is looking at a walk mower in, walk mower out service opposed to removing the reel himself and just handing that in along with the bed knife thus why I came up with the much higher price point.

I have been to the fellow below and was very impressed, excellent knowledge of cylinder mowers and rebuilds mowers to an extremely high standard.

I'm handy with the tools, so removing the cylinder and bed knife are not an issue at all for me. I'm currently doing up an older Cox Stockman and Rover Rancher.

Does any one know of measurements on the reel and the bed knife before I go and powder coat mine
