Hello Hermosil

That is a great job that keeps alive the Austral-Villiers name.
I hope it gets regular runs ...

The Powerhouse Museum have recorded this machine was based on
a British design: http://www.powerhousemuseum.com/collection/database/?irn=87203
[It is clear that British maker was Atco].

HI Hermosil
I hope that my one looks as good as yours when I finish it. Its a bit different to yours and I have had a few issues with it but I am over them now I hope. Am hoping to get Decals made for it from the guy who advertises on Ebay.I have noted the colours you have used as they look a good match.
Regards
Andy

Small update. I fired her up today and it ran quite well exept for the ehaust pipe clamp coming lose. I tried to tighten it up but the ubolt snapped off. ah well looks like I will have to find another ubolt for it now.

Hello Hermosil

If that is the only issue, then that is a good result.

I have a supplementary observation:-
The rear roller (landroll) seems to be in three parts...
Are there three drums?

Cheers

Went to big green shed and got another ubolt all is well now. You are right Cyberjack It is in 3 parts the left one is in 2 sections. I have no idea what that is about. Maybe some one can shed some light on this?

Hi Hermosil

3 piece rollers generally appear only on top-end designs.
I think the rollers need shimming for equal distances.

I thing your design would use two sets of pawls, with the middle
drum acting as the carrier for each set. Differential action
would be achieved on both outer drums.

In other words, the A-V was a quality machine.
