Hey guys,

I have a (c)honda engine and needing to replace the fuel like from the Fuel tank > Carburetor, though it seems to require a 'special' type if line with different ends,

Part Number: 17512-ZE6-000

http://www.ereplacementparts.com/tube-fuel-p-564064.html

Just wondering if anyone has an alternative solution as paying HONDA price for honda part seems a bit much for this cheap clone.

I thought about buying some fuel line from supercheap and just drilling a bigger opening in one end.. not sire if it's work or if any issues..

Suggestions would be super. smile

I put a small universal fuel filter in the line. They have a stepped fitting that lets you have big line on one side and small on the other.

All you need is the internal diameter and the outer diameter to get the fuel line as that price is over the top. cheers2

Thanks Aussietrev :), you wouldnt happen to have a link for an inline filter like the one you mentioned? Having a look on ebay, I seen many B&S though they appear the same on either side. and HONDA filters seem to be a screw in type which is different than my fuel tank.

Thanks Bruce :), only problem is the dimensions on each connection is different frown... specs are as follows,

Fuel Tank outlet dimensions (approx):

ID - 5mm
OD - 9mm

Carb inlet dimensions:

ID - 3mm
OD - 5mm

Thanks guys

Widget,

You can get around that by using two fuel lines and placing the smaller fuel line inside the larger fuel line on the carburetor side and use a small clamp on the carburetor end for a good seal. cheers2

The generic fuel filters are available from mower shops and auto parts places. They cost $5 at my local guy. Ot you can get them for $1 each out of Hong Kong if you want to wait a few days.

Note the stepped ends allowing two different size lines.

The one problem I have ran into with these type is the one referred to by that Fleabay link is that they do not have barbs holding the lines on even clamps. I had a lot problems with them coming loose in operation. Now there are versions that have the 1/4 to 5/16 steps with the barbs which work fine.

Here is example of one with the steps and barbs.
