Lucky me, my father in law gave me a Mac 2818AV. someone tried to fix it, looked here looked there.... still won't go.
My motorcycle mechanic mate encouraged me to take it apart. Sure enough, fuel line was in pieces.... got 12 inch piece of 4mm od $4... It worked.
But finding a way to put the 4 mm tube through the hole on the fuel tank made me scratch my head....
As a fisherman, I snelled some 15 lb line to the tube and fed the line through the hole, a bit of lube and bingo, went in easy, sweet.
I used the compressed aitr to clean out the whole thing, , bit tricky putting it together. but got it.
Chopped two palm trees on my property and did two jobs sat and sunday this weekend as we had had a free tip day.
It worked perfectly, started easy after turning it off, a few times...

speedy.

Here I cut the line to a taper and use tag wire to pull these lines through. Much easier to pull then push as the line shrinks in size as it is pull as like a rubber band. I just show a customer here how it is done after gave trying to get the line installed on his Poulan Wildthing Chainsaw.

Hi AVB,
Great idea, mine went through pretty easy too. I bet people all over the world give up too soon and leave a good chainsaw in the shed.....
A while back I did up a Ozito with bad lines, seems like they were shipped with bad lines that lasted 6 mths, no recall.
I also have another Mac with same problem....
