Hi guys,

I am in the process of restoring my Dads old Turner 4 stroke mower (late 1960's I think).
I have it running but the spring on the impulse starter is broken (snapped in two) and I cant find a replacement.
Can anyone suggest where I might be able to find one, or even a complete unit ?
Any clues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello ptchev

The spring should look like this (below).
These were widely used on many makes of mowers

There is a new one on eBay (with new hub):-

Hope this helps.

As CyberJack says, FleaBay is your best bet - that double wound spring and drum is common to just about all of the later impulse starters used on Australian-made mowers. These are NLA through the trade, these days.
