Hello ODK members. I'm searching for a 1964-66 Corvette 2 base and handles.Like this. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2016/08/full-5048-29676-1964_64_corvette_2.jpg) I got one some years ago hoping to find another base, but unfortunately I still haven't found one. Here the one I found a few years back. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2016/08/full-5048-29677-100_3268.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2016/08/full-5048-29678-100_3279.jpg) As you can see the base was pretty much buggered I saved the engine and I'm not sure if I have the handles. If I find them I'll let you know.So I'd very much like to get it up and running but without a base it's going to make it hard. So if anyone has one and would like to see it go to good use please let me know. Thanks.
Here for a good time, not a long time.

Blumby is this the one, problem is shipping to QLD would be worth more than the base ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2016/08/full-9841-29680-100_6525.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2016/08/full-9841-29681-100_6526.jpg) , As you can see it has a small chunk out of the front corner

I might have a set of handles the same but off a slightly different base, a Victa made for Betta stores, so let me know if you can't find yours Blumbly. They are a bit on the rusty side, though that is to be expected given their age I guess.

Thanks aussietrev I looked though my handles yesterday afternoon and it seems I don't have the handles.I have the brackets to the base. One does have a crack through it but I should be able to weld that up.So yes handles are needed.

Blumby, just as a side note the thing I sent to Bribie Island, I first took it to Pack&Send, they wanted $189 to send it to North Lakes, or $120 to their depot in Brisbane, e-go did it for $30

No they are not the correct handles that I need. Correct those brackets are for the catcher to hand on. Here's a closer picture to what I need. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2016/08/full-5048-29732-corvette_2.jpg) Then handles lock into the brackets that support the handles. The ones you have have a piece that comes off and locks over a pin on the handles. The ones you have are more to suit a 1969-72 Corvette 2 Model 69VB,of which I do have a spare set. Thanks for looking I do appreciate it.

Blumby,is this what you mean ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2016/08/full-9841-29733-100_6527.jpg) the type with that mongrel rod across the middle that makes changing the spark plug a frustrating exercise ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2016/08/full-9841-29734-100_6528.jpg)

No worries Blumby. My mower man is away for the weekend but I will be picking up more stuff next weekend. In his yard is a big pile of handles from mowers he has wrecked over the years. I'll see if what you need is among them. In one of his sheds he has the complete mower that the air filter came off which has been his own for mowing. He converted it to a snorkel because the filter constantly filled up with dust and grass being right down there in the action. He has the original catcher that has never been on the mower as well. It currently is a non runner and he says he'd like to get it going again but don't know if he can be talked into parting with it instead. He also has a heap of Victa cylinders that have been rebored but never used. Apparently they are all stamped with how much oversize they are. I am going to try and catalogue all the NOS bits he has over the coming weeks. If you need blade plates for any machine he has a stack of them that look almost brand new, possibly they are, but I'm not sure what machines they are for. I know he had at least one other mower that originally had the same filter but I don't know if he still has it, will ask for you. regards, Trevor
