Hello ODK Members

I need help on this one. There is a Colt for sale on flea-bay that does
not conform to other Colts I have seen. It has a significantly different
chassis amidships - note the flared-out chassis, gear lever position,
and wide foot rests. It has a white 10 Series Briggs (rather than red).

Also note the steering wheel and 'Colt' decal. I have asked the seller
for Model and engine numbers.

An exciting part of the Rover story.
Any ideas?

I did notice that one Jack, but I went past it thinking "don't think about it, I will only dig myself into bigger holes" I have to stop looking at ebay and gumtree, although I do need to find a small ride on for a friend of mine who has moved to Taradale with plenty of kangaroos roaming around his house but they won't keep the grass down where he wants it cut

G'day Norm

The seller was very kind in promptly relaying with the following information:-
The Colt Model is a Model 7110 serial ska89
The engine is a model 100902 type 0245-01 code 6807196

This is valuable information.
Rover made their first ride-on, the Ranger - in the mid-1960s.
The smaller Colt was introduced probably for the 1968-69 season,
and was a 4hp, Model 7110.

My best guess is that the Colt had its chassis simplified, and
had cosmetic improvements in the early 1970s, when two new models
were introduced: the 7210 Colt Minor; the 7313 Colt Major.
