There are a number of sprays on the market but they mainly use the same ingredients of dicamba and mcpa . The success of a spray is correct mixing taking into account area and mix rate with water. Measure the area and spray evenly. A back pack with a boom spray works good. Add a surfactant and a dye colour. A good quality back pack costs about $200, A liter of herbicide such as kambaM costs about $35, surfactant $20, and dye $20.remember get the area right and mix rate right and you should be successful.

Try your local Ag supply store like a Landmark or Elders. You can get what you need from Bunnings, however they come in small containers that are not cost effective in the long run. The beauty of an Ag supplier is that they will normally give a discout if you ask.

Invest in a good backpack sprayer. If you get serious with your lawn you will find that absolutely need one for all kinds of things like pre-emergent herbicides, plant growth regulators, insecticides etc.

Thank you
bellarinelawns ,and simrice I am trying to get in to having a perfect yard like yours simrice but being winter it is taking a bit also having to turf the back yard soon at them moment it looks bad due to round up so I will have to put new soil on top to level out and give the. New turf something to grow on. Would it be better to verticut before I put the soil down ?

The only reason you would need to verticut is if you wanted to try and get rid of as much of the old dead lawn as possible. I am not a fan of roto-tilling the soil unless you absolutely have to. Maybe start a new thread with some pictures of what we are dealing with. Taking your time and getting the prep right before you lay turf makes things so much easier in the long run.
