Hi all, My Scott Bonnar 45 is losing its drive when the reel is engaged. It is cutting fine but I have to push it to get going. I have tightened the clutch and drum chains and the cutter chain in the chain housing so that there is about 6 mm of play as best I can tell. I have also tightened the threaded adjuster for the clutch lever which has firmed up the play in it but none of this has made any difference. Any suggestions?

Hi Tim62A,
Have you had a closer look at how much cork is still left in the landroll clutch ?
Cheers, BB

Hi Tim62A,
Can you please supply some close up photos of the edge of the landroll clutch showing the cork thickness and also the clutch fork / cable area.
Cheers, BB

Hi BB, I finally got to check out the clutch cork but it looked fine in terms of thickness, but glassy/smooth and bit greasy. I gave it a bit of a roughen up with some sandpaper and readjusted the clutch setting and it is working a lot better
