I found your site when I was looking for information on repairing my father-in-law's Victa Commando 2-stroke VS160 power torque. He is getting elderly and for the second time he had forgotten to mix oil in the petrol. Anyway, we ended up buying him a 4 stroke so he wouldn't have to remember again!
I had an old Victa 160cc 2-stroke mower under the house with a rusted out body and a damaged head so I swapped the block onto his good chassis and the mower lives again, so it will now do service at a beach house.
I am interested in the Victa history, and in particular the original 1950's models. I would like to restore one (or two) so will need lots of advice fom you all!
