My Poulan chainsaw has recently been leaving puddles of chain oil whenever I sit it in one spot and when I run the motor oil comes out in a steady rush. I have disassembled the unit but could not find any obvious cause.
Has anybody experienced this before or have an idea on how to fix it.

Steve,
Usually you have an adjustment screw for the amout of oil that comes out to oil the chain. Has anybody changes the adjustment on it as that could be causing you the problem.

Apprentice level 2
you mention "motor oil", if you are using
common motor oil, that could be your
problem, use chain oil manufactured
for that purpose, may solve your problem
