I have been working on this for a while now.
I got it started and rode it around for the first time today.
It is doing everything it is meant to do, cuts well.
Only issue is, it drives with a jerky motion, the transmission is surging.
Can anyone help.

check your belt run, idler arms/ pulleys etc, you'll most likely find the belt is loading up then slacking off.
